ingredients:
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c mashed very ripe bananas
- 1/3 c milk
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 c nuts or chocolate chips
instructions:
- sift flour w/baking soda and salt.
- cream butter and gradually add sugar.
- add eggs and bananas and blend thoroughly.
- combine milk and lemon juice.
- slowly and alternately fold in flour mixture and milk mixture,
- beginning and ending w/dry ingredients.
- stir in nuts/chocolate chips and pour into well-buttered 9x5x3 inch pan.
- bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until bread springs back when touched in center.
